Jean-Michel Folon
Jean-Michel Folon, né en 1934, mort en 2005, était un aquarelliste, peintre, graveur et sculpteur belge.
Attablé un midi à la 110 à l’occasion d’un lunch amical entre Rudy Vanlancker et Jean Michel Folon, ce dernier a proposé de dessiner le carton d’invitation pour l’ouverture du premier restaurant Léon de Bruxelles à Paris.
On y retrouve tous les standards de la belgitude : drapeau belge, spéculoos, pommes de terre, mais aussi une Tour Eiffel en marche pour Paris.

Having read the reviews on this I suspect there is a lot of language barriers going on.Our waiter was very friendly despite us speaking French he spoke English back.Food was fine, we had mussels & frites, base sauce was a bit bland but refreshing.We ordered a steak tartare to share and watched it being made, came under seasoned but prefer it served that way so we can season ourselves.We had to chase up an ice cream but no issues really. It came super quick after that.I thought it was a nice institution in the area and the waiter explained Dec is always crazy busy then Jan they all get to relax. They’re making the most out of the tourism whilst it lasts. I would definitely return.And kids eat free! Wonderful.

Located in the city centre, Chez Léon is a big restaurant located in a small road only accessible by walking. It offers most of the Belgian specialities and can be pretty crowded, especially in holidays season. Food is good, fries are awesome and prices are fair considering the position. A good stop if you are visiting Bruxelles and want to taste some local food.

We ordered the famous mussels, fries, and beer combo. The fries were truly mediocre, the mussels were decent, but definitely not worth waiting in line for. Additionally, we ordered calamari, and it was one of the worst I’ve ever had—it had a thick coating that felt more like pastry. For these prices, it honestly doesn’t even deserve a 4-star rating. Overly famous touristic place.

Incuriositi nel vedere sempre la fila all'entrata di questo ristorante,lo abbiamo provato e devo dire che a parte i posti a sedere un po' sacrificati abbiamo mangiato benissimo, menù molto assortito di carne e pesce ,personale molto gentile,prezzi nella norma.Consigliatissimo.

Fuimos a comer y la verdad que la comida muy abundante y sabrosa, el trato del personal fue exquisito, gran variedad de mejillones y frituras típicas. Pedimos un poco de todo y para nuestra sorpresa, los niños tienen un menú a cuenta de la casa muy completo. Son lugar a dudas, lo recomendaré a mis amistades y si vuelvo a la ciudad, repetiré!

No me ha gustado que te obliguen a pedir un plato por comensal. Pero el local es grande y bonito, las raciones buenas, y el camarero que nos atendió, español, muy amable y atento. Igualmente creo que los precios son caros comparados con otros restaurantes cercanos. Probamos los mejillones a la marinera con patatas fritas y las ostras.

특별한 맛을 기대하면 실망해요많이 먹는 그 홍합찜인지 탕에 파슬리를 넣어 독특하지만 홍합의 알은 너무 작아 풍미는 덜합니다.혼자갔고 윗층 바를 배정 받았어요.웨이트리스는 친절하지 않았고 다른 직원들과 수다를 떨었습니다. 전반적인 분위기는 오래된 역사를 간직한듯 한 느낌이었어요

口コミでは、日本人 差別があったりすると言いますが、とっても親切でした。ムール貝は、ハーフサイズを注文しました。それを2人で分けて食べて ちょうどいいぐらいです。ポテトには、「ケチャップ プリ-ズ」（笑）っと言ったら、「ケチャップ（笑）」っと、言いながらご機嫌で持ってきてくれました。店員さんは、親切。味は、とっても美味しかったです。もう一度、ブルッセルに行く機会があったら、絶対に行きたいお店です。頼むものにもよるのかもしれませんが、私は、どれもこれも、美味しかったです。値段も適正価格。ベルギーでは、コスパはいいと思います。

Plutôt une déception. Le service est relativement rapide et la quantité est là. Mes moules gratinées à l'ail étaient bonnes.Cependant, la nourriture et le prix posent question.- le prix est cher- les frites manquent de goût- la qualité fait penser à du surgelé, comme les frites ou la gaufre, très moyenne- pas de carafe d'eau fournie- L'ambiance au rez-de-chaussée fait un peu emporium...

Brükselin merkezinde oldukça güzel ve kalabalık deniz ürünleri restaurantı. İçerisi oldukça otantik bir mekan. Sadece deniz ürünleri değil farklı et ürünleri, hamburger tarzı ürünler de bulabilirsiniz.Midye ve çiğ gelen deniz kabukluları tabağı güzeldi. Her ne kadar istiridyenin tadı pek huşuma gitmese de. Très bon restaurant ! Bien situé, les différents serveurs que nous avons pu avoir ont été sympathiques, professionnels, très agréables. Les moules au roquefort étaient vraiment bonnes, la sauce aussi ! La formule complet Leon ( ~40€) est un très bon rapport qualité quantité prix avec une entrée, une bière, leur spécialité (moules frites) avec casserole de 800g de moules, et frites à volonté. Je recommande !

Nous sommes venus déjeuner un dimanche midi à deux et sans réservation. Nous y avons pris le menu Lunch à 21e, soupe à l'oignon, boulettes bruxelloises et un dessert... Nous y avons pris beaucoup de plaisir à y manger... on remettra ça sur un autre week-end.

Wenn man in Brüssel ist und Muscheln, Austern und sonstige Meeresfrüchte essen möchte, dann nichts wie zu Leon. 🦪🍤 Die Preise sind zwar nicht so günstig, aber wenn man sich für die Formel Leon entscheidet, bekommt man 500 g Muscheln, schöne belgische Frites und ein Glas Bier für 20 €. 🍺🍟 Der Service ist sehr gut und wer vor 18 Uhr dort erscheint, braucht auch nicht zulange auf einen Platz zu warten. #Leon #Seafood #Brussels #Yummy #Foodie

Vam demanar el menjar i ens el van portar força ràpid. Vam demanar dos racions de carbonade flamande. Era bo però n'hem menjat de millors. Gairebé tota ls gent al nostre voltant estaven menjant musclos amb patates ( igual és l'especialitat i estan deliciosos..no sé).El cambrer de la nostra taula atent i servicial però el de les taules del costat tenia molta xarrera i entretenia el nostre cambrer. No enteniem que deia però semblava que el company del nostre cambrer estés criticant a alguns clients.

Posto immenso ma super carino..per l'ambientazione con molti richiami ai fumetti e alle principali attrazioni di bruxelles. Tantissime persone sedute ai tavoli ma servizio super efficiente. Ci siamo seduti subito, in tempi rapidi menù e ordinazione anche con consigli da parte del cameriere.Le portate sono arrivate in poco tempo, tutte di buona qualità (patatine e crocchette al formaggio top).Prezzo onesto.Prima di entrare eravamo indecisi perché sembrava il tipico ristorante invaso dai turisti...ma devo dire come avevo letto in altre recensioni...ne vale la pena...mangi le specialità belghe ben cucinate in una buona atmosfera e in pieno centro!

Midye patates menüsü ve spagetti bolonez sipariş ettik. İkisinin de tadı kötü olmasa da bizim damak tadimiza pek uymadı. Makarnanın sosu ağır geldi. Çocuk menüsünde de Midye/makarna tercihi sunuluyor ve tatlı var. Çocuk menüsü ücretsiz.Bize göre lezzeti kötü değil ama tekrar gidip yenilecek kadar da iyi değil. La formule complet Leon ( ~40€) est un très bon rapport qualité quantité prix avec une entrée, une bière, leur spécialité (moules frites) avec casserole de 800g de moules, et frites à volonté. Je recommande !

Nous sommes venus déjeuner un dimanche midi à deux et sans réservation. Nous y avons pris le menu Lunch à 21e, soupe à l'oignon, boulettes bruxelloises et un dessert... Nous y avons pris beaucoup de plaisir à y manger... on remettra ça sur un autre week-end.

Wenn man in Brüssel ist und Muscheln, Austern und sonstige Meeresfrüchte essen möchte, dann nichts wie zu Leon. 🦪🍤 Die Preise sind zwar nicht so günstig, aber wenn man sich für die Formel Leon entscheidet, bekommt man 500 g Muscheln, schöne belgische Frites und ein Glas Bier für 20 €. 🍺🍟 Der Service ist sehr gut und wer vor 18 Uhr dort erscheint, braucht auch nicht zulange auf einen Platz zu warten. #Leon #Seafood #Brussels #Yummy #Foodie

Çok zamanımız yoktu, hemen girişte soldaki masaya oturduk. Midye güzeldi ama adet çok fazla değil. Beklentiniz çok yüksek değilse yerel bir lezzet tatmak için deneyebilirsiniz.

Vam demanar el menjar i ens el van portar força ràpid. Vam demanar dos racions de carbonade flamande. Era bo però n'hem menjat de millors. Gairebé tota ls gent al nostre voltant estaven menjant musclos amb patates ( igual és l'especialitat i estan deliciosos..no sé).El cambrer de la nostra taula atent i servicial però el de les taules del costat tenia molta xarrera i entretenia el nostre cambrer. No enteniem que deia però semblava que el company del nostre cambrer estés criticant a alguns clients.

Great two meals at Chez Leon. Ran into it by luck as I was looking for a place to have late lunch. The grilled sole was very good.

Fuimos porque leímos las reseñas y fue un acierto, estaba lleno de gente (eso es buena señal) pedimos mejillones con salsa, calamares, langostinos y gambas todo muy rico, disponen de mucha variedad de mejillón en salsa, gratinados, al vapor….el personal muy atento y profesional.

If you like mussels, worth to visits. Portions are big enough. It is very historical and famous, so there is usually a line. If you want to skip it, make an online reservation.

Posto immenso ma super carino..per l'ambientazione con molti richiami ai fumetti e alle principali attrazioni di bruxelles. Tantissime persone sedute ai tavoli ma servizio super efficiente. Ci siamo seduti subito, in tempi rapidi menù e ordinazione anche con consigli da parte del cameriere.Le portate sono arrivate in poco tempo, tutte di buona qualità (patatine e crocchette al formaggio top).Prezzo onesto.Prima di entrare eravamo indecisi perché sembrava il tipico ristorante invaso dai turisti...ma devo dire come avevo letto in altre recensioni...ne vale la pena...mangi le specialità belghe ben cucinate in una buona atmosfera e in pieno centro!

Midye patates menüsü ve spagetti bolonez sipariş ettik. İkisinin de tadı kötü olmasa da bizim damak tadimiza pek uymadı. Makarnanın sosu ağır geldi. Çocuk menüsünde de Midye/makarna tercihi sunuluyor ve tatlı var. Çocuk menüsü ücretsiz.Bize göre lezzeti kötü değil ama tekrar gidip yenilecek kadar da iyi değil. Denemek için yenilebilir ama tekrar gelsek yemeyiz. Çocuk menüsü ücretsiz olduğu için fiyatı diğer yerlere göre uygun oluyor
