Waffles
The Brussels waffle is a large rectangular waffle made from a light batter, with large, square, deep indentations.
They can be eaten warm or cold, often with toppings such as whipped cream, sugar, soft fruit, chocolate spread, syrup or butter. They can also be served with vanilla ice cream and fresh fruit such as strawberries.
At “Chez Léon”, we serve them with sugar, whipped cream and other classic toppings, but our favourite is the Léon Waffle, served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, hot chocolate sauce and a lot of whipped cream.

Not a bad restaurant with Belgian cuisine. The atmosphere is pleasant, very interesting interior. We ordered mussels, fries and beer, the quality of food is good, everything is tasty, but the price is too high for the size of portions, but for a tourist place it is standard practice. We had no particular problems with the service, we quickly found a table, quickly brought our order, but we were lucky with the waiter, as we observed a very different picture at other tables.Kein schlechtes Restaurant mit belgischer Küche. Die Atmosphäre ist angenehm, sehr interessantes Interieur. Wir bestellten Muscheln, Pommes und Bier, die Qualität des Essens ist gut, alles ist lecker, aber der Preis ist zu hoch für die Größe der Portionen, aber für einen Touristenort ist es Standard. Wir hatten keine besonderen Probleme mit dem Service, wir fanden schnell einen Tisch, brachten schnell unsere Bestellung, hatten aber Glück mit dem Kellner, da wir an anderen Tischen ein ganz anderes Bild beobachteten.

Posto da vedere e da provare. A conduzione familiare da 130 anni, è molto grande e offre le specialità classiche di Bruxelles. Noi abbiamo provato la carbonade (ottima) il menú da 21 euro con primo, secondo e dessert, soup, saucisse stoemp e mousse alCioccolato della casa.Siamo entrati alle 16.00 per pranzare, ma non è stato un problema, ho visto che arrivava gente a tutte le ore.I bambini non pagano e hanno un menú ad hoc (vedi foto).

This restaurant has a long history. Although the seating inside is a bit cramped, the staff are very friendly.The food is also very tasty. We also saw many foreigners dining there. Don’t forget to check out the second floor.It’s worth mentioning that we were lucky enough to avoid queuing. Both times we finished our meals, there were already many people lining up outside. If you want to avoid the wait, try going outside of peak meal times.We went back to eat there twice 😍😍😍.

行列もできる観光客に人気店。地元の人もいます。 各部屋ごとに担当の接客員がおり、基本的に注文をなかなか取りに来ない、お会計しようにも来ないのですが、日本と欧州の違いかもしれません。こちらは手を挙げて店員を呼ぶのは失礼なため、さりげないアイコンタクトをするようです。なので、アジア人差別ではないと思います。ほかのお店で食べたことないですが、ムール貝は美味しいです。近くにもより安い店はたくさんありますが、当たり外れはあると聞きます。スーパでムール貝をかって、調理したら、同じくらい美味しかったです（笑）

Restaurant sympathique, mais surtout immense !! La cuisine était plutôt bonne mais les portions un peu petites (carbonade). Le service était ok mais nous étions placés proches du poste où les serveurs débarrassent la vaisselle, niveau ambiance du coup c'était très bruyant.

5 stars from the guy with the pony tail haircut. Excellent server who cares about going above and beyond. Mussels were good but oysters were not fresh and had a nasty fishy taste 🤮. If I’m back in Brussels I’ll come back 100% but stay away from the oysters. 2 stars off the food because the oysters made me 🤮 but the mussels were good and fresh

Léon Vanlancker à Bruxelles..Pas Aimé De Mesmaeker,ne faisons pas la gaffe de nous tromper !!!On est assis chez Léon,le vrai,l'original,pas chez un pâle copie française ou autre.Moules Frites et bière, pour finir par une gaufre au chocolat,"typically" belge...Tout est bon et généreux et le personnel est courtois et bienveillant,dans une ambiance cosmopolite,mixée touristes et belges.Une adresse RECOMMANDABLE.

Partiendo de la base que la gastronomía belgs no es famosa por ser muy elaborada, recomiendo este lugar tradicional en el corazón de Bruselas. El restaurante es super amplio y tiene dos plantas aunque siempre es mejor reservar. Probamos croquetas (buenas, pero carísimas en mi opinión), pasta con mariscos, Vol au vent (pollo) y el filete americain (steak tartar) este último espectacular y preparado en salón. La cerveza de la casa muy recomendable. Como extra, el menú infantil es gratis y super bien servido lo que le da un plus. El camarero atento y amable en todo momento.

Zeer vriendelijke crew en een interieur met een ziel. Het Georges bier dat ze daar schenken is zeer lekker. Belgische kost, een mooie variatie aan mosselbereidingen, ik heb alvast genoten. De zaak zat goed vol, maar dit was niet te merken aan de wacht tijden.

A traditional restaurant in the middle of the tourist area. Excellent food - you should come here for the mussels, they are superb. We had the casserole with white wine, plus half a litre of house white wine, it was divine. They also have very goof waffles for dessert. Do reserve!

Un lugar donde comer muy recomendado en el centro de Bruselas. En esta ciudad todo es más bien caro, este sitio también, pero la calidad es muy buena y merece la pena. Recomiendo los mejillones y el vol au vent, mi favorito! Nos atendieron muy rápido y sin reserva, el restaurante tiene un montón de espacio. La decoración en el interior merece la pena verla.

O restaurante é bem bonito por dentro, tem bastante opção no cardápio (incluindo vegetariano e menu infantil), a cerveja é show de bola e o atendimento deixa a desejar um pouquinho, mas nada demais… a comida é excelente!

Great place in Brussels. Efficient service, decent quality and not expensive. We ordered the mussels and the steak tartare and both were good but the tartare was outstanding. Great flavours and the right amount of capers and sauce.

Un lugar donde comer muy recomendado en el centro de Bruselas. En esta ciudad todo es más bien caro, este sitio también, pero la calidad es muy buena y merece la pena. Recomiendo los mejillones y el vol au vent, mi favorito! Nos atendieron muy rápido y sin reserva, el restaurante tiene un montón de espacio. La decoración en el interior merece la pena verla.
