Jean-Michel Folon
Jean-Michel Folon 1934-2005), was a Belgian watercolourist, painter, engraver and sculptor.
During a friendly lunch with Rudy Vanlancker at “110”, he offered to draw the invitation to the opening of the first “Léon de Bruxelles” restaurant in Paris.
It includes all the Belgian standards (Belgian flag, speculoos, potatoes), as well as an Eiffel Tower on its way to Paris.

Przepyszne jedzonko, obsługa bardzo miła, a zupa absolutnie rewelacyjna. Pulpeciki na drugie danie też bardzo dobre. Ta restauracja zasługuje na taką opinię, jaką wystawiłam. Byłam w grupie 40-osobowej i wszyscy się zmieścili. Gorąco polecam przyjść chociaż na zupę.

This place was recommended to me by a co worker from Brussels, he said all other restaurants on this street are tourist traps but Chez Leon is the best! Woman next to me when I was eating said that all the locals come here. Service was amazing, everyone was so friendly. I was shy as I don’t speak French but the server was so patient. I got the mussels and fries. Great value and so tasty!!

Very great atmosphere here as Belgium just won the football. Food is great and the place is huge. A must place to go, also see their page in Wikipedia. Ask for Jimmy and he will look after you!!

Had a great experience at Chez Léon in Brussels. I ordered the mussels and they were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was lively and very Belgian, and the service was friendly and efficient despite how busy the restaurant was. Great restaurant, which was recommended in an online guide of Brussels. I wanted to try the Belgian dish of Moule Frite (mussels & chips). The set meal also came with a small beer. Personally I thought the portion was adequate, but I've seen some reviews by greedy people stating that the chips weren't enough.I sat on an outside table & accidentally spilt my beer as I was trying to bring the table closer to me. The lovely waiter cleaned up & brought me another beer without extra charge. Of course at the end of my meal, I tipped him generously.

I always come back for more whenever I’m in Brussels. Food is amazing (though service can be a tad slow when they are busy - but that’s alright). I recommend the mussels set :)

Hidden gem Belgian restaurant. Note that they have menus in different languages available. Classic Belgian restaurant located not too far from Little Girl Peeing (and Delirium district). The Moules frites were tasty (and served with a small beer). The service to get the mussels was quite slow, but once they were delivered they were quite tasty! The cheese croquettes were good, and easy to split! My girlfriend tried the Belgian meatballs and they were quite strange tasting; almost like a ragu sauce but with a strange note of maybe cardamom? Great food overall, just a slower service
