Jean-Michel Folon
Jean-Michel Folon 1934-2005), was a Belgian watercolourist, painter, engraver and sculptor.
During a friendly lunch with Rudy Vanlancker at “110”, he offered to draw the invitation to the opening of the first “Léon de Bruxelles” restaurant in Paris.
It includes all the Belgian standards (Belgian flag, speculoos, potatoes), as well as an Eiffel Tower on its way to Paris.

First time here and we had the Leon Spaghetti and the Leon mussles menu. The food came very fast and the service was very nice, thanks to Raoul! He was kind and we felt so welcomed in this restaurant!

Restaurant facile à trouver et assez connu, je suis venue sur recommandation d’un ami.Les pâtes n’étaient pas aussi bonnes que je l’espérais, mais les moules étaient plutôt réussies.Le restaurant était très fréquenté, mais le personnel est resté chaleureux.Mention spéciale au serveur Amine Alex Paplo, sympathique et adorable ☺️

Dined here solo for lunch after arriving in Brussels, as I was looking for a place to eat before my hotel check-in.The restaurant is spacious and spread across two levels. I was seated downstairs, where there was no air conditioning. Later, when I went upstairs to use the restroom, I noticed the upper level was air-conditioned. Since I had just arrived on a warm day, I would have appreciated being seated upstairs if space was available.I ordered the mussels smothered in garlic butter and herbs, and they were delicious. The accompanying fries were good as well, though I would have preferred them a bit crispier.The service was minimal. My order was taken, my food was delivered, and no one returned to check on me for the remainder of the meal. This may be more typical in Europe, where restaurant service tends to be less attentive than in the U.S., but it still would have been nice if someone had checked in at least once.Overall, I enjoyed the food, but with so many great restaurants to choose from in Brussels, this was likely a one-time visit.

I went for a late lunch here and was able to get a meal deal. The mussels were delicious and as a solo traveller, I felt very comfortable dining here. My waitor Stephan was excellent and very friendly making me feel comfortable to ask him anything. Great experience and would definitely come back here. I recommend the mussels, they're delicious.

Iconic restaurant for Moule in Brussels. Food quality is high, just too much butter in my opinion, beers can be improved. Atmosphere is lovely. The building as well. Just a bit too slow the service, we waited 45' for classic moules .
