Jean-Michel Folon
Jean-Michel Folon 1934-2005), was a Belgian watercolourist, painter, engraver and sculptor.
During a friendly lunch with Rudy Vanlancker at “110”, he offered to draw the invitation to the opening of the first “Léon de Bruxelles” restaurant in Paris.
It includes all the Belgian standards (Belgian flag, speculoos, potatoes), as well as an Eiffel Tower on its way to Paris.

On a prit les moules frites 🍟, et notee fils, des pâtes à la Léon :Les moules sont bien charnues, goûteuse, on les mange plus par goumandise que la faim.Le service était au top. Serveur très sympa.On a pu aussi boire la bière 🍺 George Pils, servi que chez eux. Bière légère, sans amertume.On a passé un bon moment.

Icónico lugar para probar la comida. Recomiendo llegar con una reserva porque el lugar está a tope.Al entrar vi como literalmente ignoraban a los turistas o les decían que no había espacio y los dejaban hablando solos.La comida excelente. Así que te quedas un poco extraño. La atención es malísima. Los meseros super mal educados. Pero el lugar es tradicional y con muy buena comida.

Cuidado com o garçon que fica do lado de fora. O prato Formule Leon 500 gr custa 20 euros e ele nao qceitou meu pedido ara o pra e queria quei pagasse 32,75 euros. Dentro os outros garçons, o Sami, em especial, muito homestamente, me pediu o prato de 20 Euros e as cervejas e a sobremesa Crème Brulèe. Amei a porção de Moules Matinières.

Restaurante céntrico, fuimos recomendados por una compañera de trabajo y, la verdad, no salimos decepcionados, "solo" comimos distintas raciones de mejillones y los postres, pero, sin duda, la mejor cazuela de mejillones que probamos en Bruselas. El crepe de León (que tenía mandarinas) estaba particularmente espectacular. Si es verdad, como punto "negativo", que los camareros estaban un poco espesos, poco atentos, además que cada uno se encargaba de una sección y como le pidieses algo a uno que no era de tu mesa, no te hacían ni caso.

Had dinner here our last night in Belgium and wasn’t impressed. It felt overpriced for what it was and the service was ok, nothing more.I don’t like the feeling of being an annoyance to a server and that’s the vibe I got.My meal was ok, but nothing special. Certainly not for the price we paid.Didn’t care for much including how close we were to the table next to us.I early decided to not recommend a place, but I think you can find better dinner options in Brussels.

Had our obligatory moules et frites while visiting Brussels. We thought the version with butter and herbs was the best. Make sure to ask for bread to soak up the extra sauce. We also had the version with cheese which was also good, but a bit heavy. Service was very good and prices reasonable.Update 2026: getting expensive and the module frites not as good as I remember from our last visit.×

Cuidado com o garçon que fica do lado de fora. O prato Formule Leon 500 gr custa 20 euros e ele nao qceitou meu pedido ara o pra e queria quei pagasse 32,75 euros. Dentro os outros garçons, o Sami, em especial, muito homestamente, me pediu o prato de 20 Euros e as cervejas e a sobremesa Crème Brulèe. Amei a porção de Moules Matinières.

Ο εσωτερικός χώρος είναι όμορφος. Ο εξωτερικός, στο δρόμο έχει το δικό του γραφικό χρώμα. Εξαιρετικά μύδια, καραβίδες κτλ. Προτείνεται!!!

Restaurante céntrico, fuimos recomendados por una compañera de trabajo y, la verdad, no salimos decepcionados, "solo" comimos distintas raciones de mejillones y los postres, pero, sin duda, la mejor cazuela de mejillones que probamos en Bruselas. El crepe de León (que tenía mandarinas) estaba particularmente espectacular. Si es verdad, como punto "negativo", que los camareros estaban un poco espesos, poco atentos, además que cada uno se encargaba de una sección y como le pidieses algo a uno que no era de tu mesa, no te hacían ni caso.

2.5 STELLE.Servizio eccellente e locale pulito.Purtroppo il punteggio basso è per le cozze, assolutamente insapori, non consiglio al formaggio, la farcitura è molto pesante.Frittura e crocchette buone. Pasta sconsigliatissima, spaghetti con il burro e panna, immangiabile purtroppo.

Had dinner here our last night in Belgium and wasn’t impressed. It felt overpriced for what it was and the service was ok, nothing more.I don’t like the feeling of being an annoyance to a server and that’s the vibe I got.My meal was ok, but nothing special. Certainly not for the price we paid.Didn’t care for much including how close we were to the table next to us.I early decided to not recommend a place, but I think you can find better dinner options in Brussels.

Had our obligatory moules et frites while visiting Brussels. We thought the version with butter and herbs was the best. Make sure to ask for bread to soak up the extra sauce. We also had the version with cheese which was also good, but a bit heavy. Service was very good and prices reasonable.Update 2026: getting expensive and the module frites not as good as I remember from our last visit.
