Jean-Michel Folon
Jean-Michel Folon 1934-2005), was a Belgian watercolourist, painter, engraver and sculptor.
During a friendly lunch with Rudy Vanlancker at “110”, he offered to draw the invitation to the opening of the first “Léon de Bruxelles” restaurant in Paris.
It includes all the Belgian standards (Belgian flag, speculoos, potatoes), as well as an Eiffel Tower on its way to Paris.

Spent a wonderful night with my boyfriend in Chez Leon typical restaurant. Got a very kind and warm welcome, from our waiter. We had mules with fries and a streak, and everything was very perfect! We spent a very special dinner and try some typical food. I surely recommend we spent around 50 or €60 in total.

Having read the reviews on this I suspect there is a lot of language barriers going on.Our waiter was very friendly despite us speaking French he spoke English back.Food was fine, we had mussels & frites, base sauce was a bit bland but refreshing.We ordered a steak tartare to share and watched it being made, came under seasoned but prefer it served that way so we can season ourselves.We had to chase up an ice cream but no issues really. It came super quick after that.I thought it was a nice institution in the area and the waiter explained Dec is always crazy busy then Jan they all get to relax. They’re making the most out of the tourism whilst it lasts. I would definitely return.And kids eat free! Wonderful.

Located in the city centre, Chez Léon is a big restaurant located in a small road only accessible by walking. It offers most of the Belgian specialities and can be pretty crowded, especially in holidays season. Food is good, fries are awesome and prices are fair considering the position. A good stop if you are visiting Bruxelles and want to taste some local food.

We ordered the famous mussels, fries, and beer combo. The fries were truly mediocre, the mussels were decent, but definitely not worth waiting in line for. Additionally, we ordered calamari, and it was one of the worst I’ve ever had—it had a thick coating that felt more like pastry. For these prices, it honestly doesn’t even deserve a 4-star rating. Overly famous touristic place.

Incuriositi nel vedere sempre la fila all'entrata di questo ristorante,lo abbiamo provato e devo dire che a parte i posti a sedere un po' sacrificati abbiamo mangiato benissimo, menù molto assortito di carne e pesce ,personale molto gentile,prezzi nella norma.Consigliatissimo.

Fuimos a comer y la verdad que la comida muy abundante y sabrosa, el trato del personal fue exquisito, gran variedad de mejillones y frituras típicas. Pedimos un poco de todo y para nuestra sorpresa, los niños tienen un menú a cuenta de la casa muy completo. Son lugar a dudas, lo recomendaré a mis amistades y si vuelvo a la ciudad, repetiré!

No me ha gustado que te obliguen a pedir un plato por comensal. Pero el local es grande y bonito, las raciones buenas, y el camarero que nos atendió, español, muy amable y atento. Igualmente creo que los precios son caros comparados con otros restaurantes cercanos. Probamos los mejillones a la marinera con patatas fritas y las ostras.

특별한 맛을 기대하면 실망해요많이 먹는 그 홍합찜인지 탕에 파슬리를 넣어 독특하지만 홍합의 알은 너무 작아 풍미는 덜합니다.혼자갔고 윗층 바를 배정 받았어요.웨이트리스는 친절하지 않았고 다른 직원들과 수다를 떨었습니다. 전반적인 분위기는 오래된 역사를 간직한듯 한 느낌이었어요

Top! Das Restaurant war zwar Mega voll, was ja auch gut ist, trotzdem lief alles perfekt und der Service war super freundlich und flink. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend. Das Ambiente ist toll.
