Jean-Michel Folon
Jean-Michel Folon 1934-2005), was a Belgian watercolourist, painter, engraver and sculptor.
During a friendly lunch with Rudy Vanlancker at “110”, he offered to draw the invitation to the opening of the first “Léon de Bruxelles” restaurant in Paris.
It includes all the Belgian standards (Belgian flag, speculoos, potatoes), as well as an Eiffel Tower on its way to Paris.

This place was recommended to me by a co worker from Brussels, he said all other restaurants on this street are tourist traps but Chez Leon is the best! Woman next to me when I was eating said that all the locals come here. Service was amazing, everyone was so friendly. I was shy as I don’t speak French but the server was so patient. I got the mussels and fries. Great value and so tasty!!

Had a great experience at Chez Léon in Brussels. I ordered the mussels and they were absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was lively and very Belgian, and the service was friendly and efficient despite how busy the restaurant was. Definitely a place worth visiting if you’re in Brussels and want to try traditional Belgian mussels! Thanks to Momo for his help and service!!!

Great restaurant, which was recommended in an online guide of Brussels. I wanted to try the Belgian dish of Moule Frite (mussels & chips). The set meal also came with a small beer. Personally I thought the portion was adequate, but I've seen some reviews by greedy people stating that the chips weren't enough.I sat on an outside table & accidentally spilt my beer as I was trying to bring the table closer to me. The lovely waiter cleaned up & brought me another beer without extra charge. Of course at the end of my meal, I tipped him generously.

Hidden gem Belgian restaurant. Note that they have menus in different languages available. Classic Belgian restaurant located not too far from Little Girl Peeing (and Delirium district). The Moules frites were tasty (and served with a small beer). The service to get the mussels was quite slow, but once they were delivered they were quite tasty! The cheese croquettes were good, and easy to split! My girlfriend tried the Belgian meatballs and they were quite strange tasting; almost like a ragu sauce but with a strange note of maybe cardamom? Great food overall, just a slower service

We visited this place twice during our stay, and both experiences were very positive. On our first visit, our waiter occasionally spoke a few Turkish words, which made us feel very welcome. He even offered me a beer free of charge, a thoughtful gesture that we greatly appreciated. When we returned the following day, we were served by another waiter who was equally friendly and professional. The service on both occasions was excellent.The food was generally good. I ordered the meatballs, but they were not quite as good as I had expected, as I have had better ones before. My husband tried the beer-braised meat dish, and he really enjoyed it. The portion size was also very generous. Overall, we had a pleasant experience and would recommend this place for its friendly atmosphere and great service.

Went to Chez Léon for lunch with my friend, and lunch was a hit. We had mussels and fries, and it was really nice, fresh, tasty, and very filling. The staff were lovely too, really friendly and chatty, and they made us feel very welcome. We even stayed a bit longer to chill and charge our phones, and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Really good experience, and I’d definitely go back if I’m in Belgium again.

파리에서 먹은 음식들보다 여기가 훨씬 맛있었습니다. 치즈크로켓이랑 치즈 홍합그라탕을 시켰는데 둘다 맛있네요. 특히 홍합그라탕이 정말 맛있었습니다. 치즈 크로켓도 안에 치즈로 꽉차서 상당히 맛있습니다. 서버분도 엄청 친절하고 특히 동행이 소매치기 당할뻔 한거 막아주고 주의하라고 해줬네요. 아주 기분좋은 식사였습니다. 치즈 크로켓은 15.70유로 홍합그라탕은 22.70유로 맥주 2잔해서 총 52유로 나왔습니다.
