Le théâtre de Toone
Le théâtre de Toone a vu le jour en 1830 lorsque Antoine Genty, dit « Toone » ouvre le premier théâtre de marionnettes traditionnelles.
Un théâtre de marionnettes pour adultes, unique au monde, à deux pas de la plus belle place du monde, aujourd’hui traduit en plusieurs langues.
Aujourd’hui, Nicolas Géal, entouré de 6 marionnettistes, adapte des pièces célèbres, tous les styles de spectacles, de « Roméo et Juliette » à « Dracula » en passant par « Faust » ou « Carmen ».
Chez Léon nous sommes très honorés d’avoir recu de Monsieur Géal, 7e du nom, la marionnette « Arlequin ».
Pour le centenaire de notre établissement, notre mascotte « Léon de la moule » a été reproduite en marionnette.

If you are looking for a great place for mussels in Brussels, this is the spot. The food was great, but the service was even better. Antonie went above and beyond to ensure I had a great time, even though I was dining alone. He was so warm, professional, and kept me laughing throughout the meal. He also gave a great beer recommendation (the Léon beer), which was a perfect pairing. Antonie, thank you for making my dining experience so memorable!

Nie wiem skąd tyle negatywnych opinii - byłem w czerwcu i zarówno obsługa jak i samo jedzenie były wyśmienite. Complet Leon czyli przystawka z małych krewetek w pomidorze, potem mule, a również klasyka Brukseli czyli Carbonade Flammande - smaczne i świeże.Jedyny minus za ceny - ale lokalizacja mówi sama za siebie.

We tried the Carbonnade Flamande, mussels, and Léon beer, and everything was absolutely delicious. The food was authentic, fresh, and full of flavour. The Carbonnade Flamande was rich and tender, while the mussels were perfectly cooked and served in a generous portion.A special thank you to Yamal for his outstanding service. Przepyszne jedzonko, obsługa bardzo miła, a zupa absolutnie rewelacyjna. Pulpeciki na drugie danie też bardzo dobre. Ta restauracja zasługuje na taką opinię, jaką wystawiłam. Byłam w grupie 40-osobowej i wszyscy się zmieścili. Gorąco polecam przyjść chociaż na zupę.

This place was recommended to me by a co worker from Brussels, he said all other restaurants on this street are tourist traps but Chez Leon is the best! Woman next to me when I was eating said that all the locals come here. Service was amazing, everyone was so friendly. I was shy as I don’t speak French but the server was so patient. I got the mussels and fries. Great value and so tasty!!

This place was recommended to me by a co worker from Brussels, he said all other restaurants on this street are tourist traps but Chez Leon is the best! Woman next to me when I was eating said that all the locals come here. Service was amazing, everyone was so friendly. I was shy as I don’t speak French but the server was so patient. I got the mussels and fries. Great value and so tasty!!
