The Atomium
The Atomium is a landmark building in Brussels, originally constructed for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair (Expo 58).
It stands 102 m (335 ft) tall. Its nine 18 m (60 ft) diameter stainless steel clad spheres are connected, so that the whole forms the shape of a unit cell of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. Tubes with a diameter of 3 m (10 ft) connect the spheres along the 12 edges of the cube and all eight vertices to the centre. They contain stairs, escalators and a lift (in the central vertical tube) to allow access to the five habitable spheres, which contain exhibit halls and other public spaces. The top sphere houses a restaurant with a panoramic view of Brussels.
“Chez Léon” could hardly miss an opportunity to display one of the most hilarious pages in the history of Belgian comics: a copy of a page from Album 0 in which Gaston copies his face on each of the Atomium’s spheres, grumbling to himself “I shouldn’t have agreed to do this… really I shouldn’t.”

I was on the hunt for the best classic moules-frites in Brussels and decided go with the Chez Léon, one of the most famous and traditional places for it. The food was really good — tasty, fresh and filling.I chose the set with fries, mussels, and beer, and I loved that there were non-alcoholic options as well. Very delicious overall, though it was quite busy.My only small issues: the seating wasn’t ideal since I was alone and had to sit by the bar, and the staff who served me weren’t very friendly.

Place for tourist . I had hope, becouse read review but it was a mistake. All classic typical food for what people came there not yummy muscles with cheese was good, and that’s it.Classic muscles was almost without taste, fried potatoes sauce without salt, not cooking enough. Manager is not friendly.My suggest don’t go and don’t spend money for this place.

Bonjour à Tous,Parisien de passage à Bruxelles le week-end dernier en Famille et quelques autres proches, c'était la 4ème fois que l'on se rendait dans ce Léon en 2 ans. Tout y est super Bon, sympa et le décor m'a toujours fait penser à l'ambiance des saloons qu'ils y avaient autrefois dans les films westerns de l'époque. En général, c'était la Jeune Mélissa qui s'occupait de nous mais cette fois-ci, ce fut Anouar qui a fait le boulot. Lui seul... Et BIEN comme il faut, s'il vous plaît... Anouar a été Top de chez Top, il nous a mis à l'aise dès notre arrivée jusqu'à la fin. Il a été à l'écoute, nous a même conseillé certaines choses qu'on ignorait et s'est occupé de nous comme de sa propre Famille. Donc du coup, nous nous sommes immédiatement senti comme chez nous à la maison. Ah oui, lès Prix sont vachement intéressants et abordables par TOUS.. Personnellement, je trouve que Anouar a absolument toute sa place dans la Famille Léon et nous espérons que ce sera encore Lui qui nous accueillera lors de notre prochain passage à Bruxelles..Je vous recommande ce Léon les yeux fermés car il en vaut vachement le détour, croyez-moi. Je dirais même que c'est presqu'une obligation (autant que le Manneken Pis 😜) d'y faire un tour pour le découvrir. Et un seul et ultime conseil: demandez Anouar dès votre arrivée et vous serez comblé autant que nous le fûmes...Merci beaucoup à Tous ceux qui prendront le soin de lire cet avis jusqu'au bout et qui s'y rendront..🙏🤲❤

If you want to try mussels, this is the place to go. Great selection and classic Belgian experience. I also tried the horse steak, something different and definitely worth it.It’s a very popular and touristy spot, but still a must-visit in Brussels. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance.

Visited on a Sunday around 2pm as a walk‑in.I was lucky to get a seat, as people kept coming in and it stayed busy. The atmosphere felt a little fancy, and the service was quick and friendly. The mussels were really good, definitely recommended.

不懂因為我是女生，還是亞洲人的關係，我這區的服務生，感覺有點歧視，其它店員倒是很有禮貌淡菜套餐一個女生吃好撐，而且無法打包，說會危險...飲料說沒杯子裝...最後只有打包薯條而已說要打包N次，這區的服務生都沒下文；和其它路過的服務生說，很快就拿來餐盒套餐不喝啤酒，換了其它飲料

Un restaurante espectacular, desde la decoración hasta la comida pasando por los camareros que son muy simpáticos y agradables, una comida típica belga con carácter y estilo, un buen sitio para disfrutar en familia o en pareja. Los mejillones con ajo y queso gratinado son una auténtica maravilla.

用餐時間非常繁忙，建議預訂！店內環境很有歐式風情，看得出來經營已久，是當地名店。淡菜鍋很香甜，雖然淡菜不大，但肉質吃起來可以，沒有不新鮮的料。兩個人吃一鍋配著隨附的薯條竟然也會飽。另外點的一份燉牛肉味道倒是普通。我們是我們用餐的那區唯一的亞洲客人，我們觀察到其他桌都有獲得餐前麵包，我們這桌卻沒有。不過我們菜上的是這區最快的，就沒有跟店家反應了。非常建議預訂，否則就要在離峰時間用餐。我們用完餐後出來店門大排長龍。

Samedi 29 mars nous sommes venus dîner avec mon conjoint, on etait installé au premier. Nous sommes tomber sur une merveilleuse serveuse, mais avec le Rudy elle courait partt. Mais son collègue a été très incorrect avec elle et à élever la voix devant les clients la mettant mal à l’aise. Elle à continuer à servir avec le sourire mais on voyait bien qu’elle avait pleuré. Déjà que c’est pas évident de travailler dans la restauration mais en plus quand c’est tendu avec le collègue c’est invivable. Je souhaite du courage à cette jeune fille. Qui nous a très bien servis et nous avons très bien mangé.

Nous y sommes allé plusieurs fois avec et sans enfant et vraiment le service dépend beaucoup de sur qui vous tombez, une fois on ne nous calculait pas, une autre fois le serveur était au petits soins et encore plus avec les enfants, une autre fois on a relancé 3 fois le dessert...sans parlé du "vous avez reservé?" sans le "bonjour" en haute saison... ils ont pas besoin d'être aimable les bus de touriste s'y arrêtentLa cuisine, on va dire que c'est bon mais sans plus honnêtement on ne va pas traverser la Belgique pour venir spécialement, d'autant plus depuis la dernière hausse de prix qui fait bien mal, avec maintenant le menu enfant à 9,5€, le même qui était gratuit depuis plusieurs années, voir même plus restreint.Et pour plus de clarté, pouvez-vous écrire que le menu n'est pas disponible le week-end, ça fait perdre du temps.

As someone who lives in Brussels, I always find myself going back to Chez Léon—and I’m never disappointed! Their moules-frites are consistently excellent and always hit the spot. I’ve tried most of the mussels in their different sauces, and they are all really good.The restaurant is more than just a place to eat, it’s a real Brussels institution, almost like a small museum with its unique atmosphere and history.The food is great, the fries are delicious, and their mayo is honestly one of the best. The service is perfect as well, with very friendly and welcoming staff.It’s always my go-to recommendation when I have friends visiting Brussels—they absolutely love it every time!

Atmosfer çok güzeldi. Akşam yemeği için erken gittiğimiz için kolayca yer bulabildik ve servis için de çok beklemedik. Şarapta midye ve midye üzeri sarımsak soslu peynir yedik. Güzeldi ama yanında getirdikleri minik karidesli marul salatası manasızdı. Tadı da yoktu bence. Diğerleri güzeldi.

We had an excellent experience at Chez Léon in Brussels. The atmosphere was lively and authentic, exactly what you hope for when visiting a classic Belgian restaurant. The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The mussels and fries were especially outstanding.What truly made our visit memorable, though, was our server, Jimmy. He was exceptional from start to finish—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Jimmy made us feel comfortable, gave great recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect throughout our meal. Chez Léon — атмосферное бельгийское место с историей, куда стоит зайти за локальной кухней и живой атмосферой.Интерьер интересный: несколько уровней, много деталей, комиксы, дерево — ощущение музея внутри ресторана. Атмосфера шумная, место популярное и почти всегда заполнено.По кухне — классика Бельгии: морепродукты, прежде всего мидии (moules). Подача щедрая, продукты свежие, порции большие. Пиво дополняет блюда, но выбор закусок к пиву ограниченный — упор именно на основные блюда, а не на «пивной формат».Важно учитывать: при заказе ожидание может достигать ~40 минут, особенно в часы пик.Сервис быстрый, но поток гостей большой, поэтому всё достаточно без излишней персонализации.Итог: место про атмосферу и классическую бельгийскую кухню. Хорошо для полноценного ужина с морепродуктами, но не лучший вариант, если рассчитываете на быстрый перекус или разнообразные закуски к пиву.

Sono entrato perché affascinato dalla vicinanza alle Gallerie San'Uberto e anche rassicurato dalla massiccia presenza, nonostante il giorno infrasettimanale. Prezzi decisamente troppo alti per la qualità di cibo, il caos all'interno del locale a 2 piani stracolmo di persone e soprattutto per il servizio scadente (dovevamo costantemente richiamare l'attenzione del cameriere per farci servire). Ci sono molte altre valide alternative per poter mangiare con gusto e in maniera più confortevole al centro di Bruxelles. Non tornerei in questo ristorante×

とても美味しかったですが、アジア人の女性の店員さんがあまり態度が良くなかった。他の店員さんは感じ良かったです。アジア人観光客たくさんいました！バケツいっぱいのムール貝が食べれてポテトもついてきます！値段はそこまで高くないので良いと思います！

用餐時間非常繁忙，建議預訂！店內環境很有歐式風情，看得出來經營已久，是當地名店。淡菜鍋很香甜，雖然淡菜不大，但肉質吃起來可以，沒有不新鮮的料。兩個人吃一鍋配著隨附的薯條竟然也會飽。另外點的一份燉牛肉味道倒是普通。我們是我們用餐的那區唯一的亞洲客人，我們觀察到其他桌都有獲得餐前麵包，我們這桌卻沒有。不過我們菜上的是這區最快的，就沒有跟店家反應了。非常建議預訂，否則就要在離峰時間用餐。我們用完餐後出來店門大排長龍。

The food was great, however took too long to get some food and the restaurant is not prepared to have so many customers. It's too noisy. It's impossible to have a normal conversation without shouting.

On était juste à côté de la cuisine donc très bruyant, la casserole de moule était bonne mais il manquait quelques chose pour moi ... trop touristique et un peu cher pour des moules.

Samedi 29 mars nous sommes venus dîner avec mon conjoint, on etait installé au premier. Nous sommes tomber sur une merveilleuse serveuse, mais avec le Rudy elle courait partt. Mais son collègue a été très incorrect avec elle et à élever la voix devant les clients la mettant mal à l’aise. Elle à continuer à servir avec le sourire mais on voyait bien qu’elle avait pleuré. Déjà que c’est pas évident de travailler dans la restauration mais en plus quand c’est tendu avec le collègue c’est invivable. Je souhaite du courage à cette jeune fille. Qui nous a très bien servis et nous avons très bien mangé.

Nous y sommes allé plusieurs fois avec et sans enfant et vraiment le service dépend beaucoup de sur qui vous tombez, une fois on ne nous calculait pas, une autre fois le serveur était au petits soins et encore plus avec les enfants, une autre fois on a relancé 3 fois le dessert...sans parlé du "vous avez reservé?" sans le "bonjour" en haute saison... ils ont pas besoin d'être aimable les bus de touriste s'y arrêtentLa cuisine, on va dire que c'est bon mais sans plus honnêtement on ne va pas traverser la Belgique pour venir spécialement, d'autant plus depuis la dernière hausse de prix qui fait bien mal, avec maintenant le menu enfant à 9,5€, le même qui était gratuit depuis plusieurs années, voir même plus restreint.Et pour plus de clarté, pouvez-vous écrire que le menu n'est pas disponible le week-end, ça fait perdre du temps.

As someone who lives in Brussels, I always find myself going back to Chez Léon—and I’m never disappointed! Their moules-frites are consistently excellent and always hit the spot. I’ve tried most of the mussels in their different sauces, and they are all really good.The restaurant is more than just a place to eat, it’s a real Brussels institution, almost like a small museum with its unique atmosphere and history.The food is great, the fries are delicious, and their mayo is honestly one of the best. The service is perfect as well, with very friendly and welcoming staff.It’s always my go-to recommendation when I have friends visiting Brussels—they absolutely love it every time!

Excelente servicio,comida,carta...me sorprendió la calidad y el servicio tan atento que tuve.Me abrieron la puerta al entrar y salir.La comida buenísima y los camareros muy eficientes la verdad.En el centro de la ciudad y a un precio más que razonable. Atmosfer çok güzeldi. Akşam yemeği için erken gittiğimiz için kolayca yer bulabildik ve servis için de çok beklemedik. Şarapta midye ve midye üzeri sarımsak soslu peynir yedik. Güzeldi ama yanında getirdikleri minik karidesli marul salatası manasızdı. Tadı da yoktu bence. Diğerleri güzeldi.

We had an excellent experience at Chez Léon in Brussels. The atmosphere was lively and authentic, exactly what you hope for when visiting a classic Belgian restaurant. The food was fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The mussels and fries were especially outstanding.What truly made our visit memorable, though, was our server, Jimmy. He was exceptional from start to finish—attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Jimmy made us feel comfortable, gave great recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect throughout our meal. His professionalism and positive attitude elevated the entire experience.Highly recommend Chez Léon, and if you’re lucky enough to have Jimmy as your server, you’re in for a great time.

Chez Léon — атмосферное бельгийское место с историей, куда стоит зайти за локальной кухней и живой атмосферой.Интерьер интересный: несколько уровней, много деталей, комиксы, дерево — ощущение музея внутри ресторана. Атмосфера шумная, место популярное и почти всегда заполнено.По кухне — классика Бельгии: морепродукты, прежде всего мидии (moules). Подача щедрая, продукты свежие, порции большие. Пиво дополняет блюда, но выбор закусок к пиву ограниченный — упор именно на основные блюда, а не на «пивной формат».Важно учитывать: при заказе ожидание может достигать ~40 минут, особенно в часы пик.Сервис быстрый, но поток гостей большой, поэтому всё достаточно без излишней персонализации.Итог: место про атмосферу и классическую бельгийскую кухню. Хорошо для полноценного ужина с морепродуктами, но не лучший вариант, если рассчитываете на быстрый перекус или разнообразные закуски к пиву.

ムール貝とビール、ポテトがセットになったものを頼みました。他にもランチメニューがあったのですが、ないと言われました。ちゃんとランチの時間内に行ったのに…注文を取りに来るのも遅く、接客態度も悪くちょっとがっかりな体験でした。ムール貝は美味しいのに勿体無いなぁと感じた次第です。

Es un buen restaurante de comida típica belga, los mejillones estaban ricos. Lo único que no nos gustó fue el camarero que nos atendió llamado Momo. Era un maleducado y nos trató mal.De resto todo bien.

Sono entrato perché affascinato dalla vicinanza alle Gallerie San'Uberto e anche rassicurato dalla massiccia presenza, nonostante il giorno infrasettimanale. Prezzi decisamente troppo alti per la qualità di cibo, il caos all'interno del locale a 2 piani stracolmo di persone e soprattutto per il servizio scadente (dovevamo costantemente richiamare l'attenzione del cameriere per farci servire). Ci sono molte altre valide alternative per poter mangiare con gusto e in maniera più confortevole al centro di Bruxelles. Non tornerei in questo ristorante
